Crater Town Gym Puzzle

When entering the gym, the surroundings will be shrouded in darkness, reducing your vision. Each time you defeat a Trainer, some of your vision will be restored. Additionally, the Gym has several Trainers patrolling the area, teleporting you back to the entrance (or a checkpoint) if you’re caught.
Upon entering the gym, head towards the right and go straight up. This room contains 4 Trainers you can battle. Each battle will restore a part of your vision.

Step 1: Battle each of these trainers ahead.

Step 2: With your vision restored, head back to the gym’s entrance.
Then from there, follow the path leading straight up and towards the left.

Step 3: Towards the end of this corridor, dodge the Trainer patrolling the area by hiding in the small space on the bottom side of the wall.

Step 4: Go further along the path left, hiding from the Trainer in the red headband, just as done in the previous step.
Keep walking till you reach the end of the wall.

Step 5: This is a checkpoint. Being caught by subsequent Trainers will teleport you back here.
Make your way along the straight path, dodging the three Trainers in between.

The hiding area for the 2nd Trainer here is quite small so be sure to time your run appropriately.

The third Trainer’s run overlaps with the second, making this dodge slightly complicated. You can hide at the very end of the corridor to avoid him, as done in the image below. However, you have to run out of here immediately, as the Trainer will catch you on his way back.

Step 6: Make your way down & over through the narrow corridor, avoiding the final Trainer with the video camera.

Step 7: Enter the open room at the end of this path to reach Véga.

Tips for Defeating Véga
Here are some tips that’ll help you battle Véga:
Use Dark-type Counters: All 3 of Véga’s Pokemon are Dark. This heavily incentivizes using Fighting, Bug, or Fairy-type Pokemon as a counter to the gym leader. His Liepard and Absol are relatively less aggressive, mostly using moves like Fake Out and Detect respectively.
In contrast, Sneasel generally spams a mix between Quick Attack and Icy Mist, making it a greater threat.
Counter the Negative Emotions: The gym is filled with negative emotions which inflict roughly 6% max HP worth of damage to your active Pokemon at the end of each turn. Dark, Psychic, and Ghost-type Pokemon are immune to this effect. Additionally, any Pokemon featuring the moves Oblivious, Unaware, or Magic Guard are also protected from this debuff (regardless of the typing).
If you’re facing significant difficulties battling Véga due to the negative emotions effect, try swapping out your Pokemon with the protected classes or learning the above-mentioned moves.
