Dresco Town Gym Puzzle

Gym entrance

Dresco Town has no puzzle associated with its gym. It follows an unobstructed path guarded by 2 trainers leading up to Mirskle. But the gym is shrouded in fog which causes a 40% decrease in accuracy for all Pokemon. This fog can be disabled with Defog, though.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can quickly reach Mirskle.

Step 1: From the entrance of the gym, follow the open path guarded by the first trainer ‘Youngster Doobie’.

Tips on Defeating Mirskle

Mirskle Gym battle / Pokémon Unbound
Mirskle Gym battle

Use Type Effectiveness: Mirskle and his trainers use Pokemon that are generally weak against Fire, Flying, and Steel-types. Be sure to feature these within your squad. Regardless, Mirskle has relatively weak Pokemon which shouldn’t cause problems unless you plan on using Ground-types.

Sniff Mirskle’s Rose Incense: Before the battle begins, Mirskle offers you Rose Incense which your Pokemon can sniff. Accepting this increases the Sp. Def stat of your Pokemon.

Disable the Fog: If you’re having a hard time landing hits due to the reduced accuracy of the fog, you can disable this by performing a weather-altering move. Examples of these include Sandstorm and Hail. Outside battle, Defog can also be used to get rid of the foggy environment.

Target Gloom: Considering his 2 Pokemon, Gloom is relatively more threatening than Flabebe as it can restore HP and cause Poison status effects. It’s a good idea to target Gloom first with both your Pokemon, moving on to Flabebe afterward.

Pokemon Team Suggestions

Mirskle offers a relatively easy gym battle so you shouldn’t feel the need to build a specific team around him. However, if you want to go the extra mile and find Pokemon that are strong against him, some of the viable options include:

Pokemon Pikipek Snorunt
Type Flying Ice
Location Route 2 Route 1
