Metal Coat

The easiest way of acquiring a Metal Coat in Pokemon Unbound is through an item located on 3F of Thundercap Mountain. Accessing this item requires Rock Climb and Rock Smash. Although it isn’t required, Flash is also recommended to make the area easier to navigate.

Alternatively, Metal Coats can be obtained as held items by several wild Pokemon (5% chance each) and also acquired as drops from multiple Pokemon across numerous Raid Dens.

Once-only Methods

Thundercap Mountain

Starting at Epidimy Town’s PokeCenter and follow these steps to find the Metal Coat:

Step 1: Head to the southeastern end of town till you arrive at some stairs next to a sign.

Step 2: Enter the cave next to the wall here – this leads to Thundercap Mountain.

Step 3: Make your way over to the northeastern end of the room and use the ladder here to go up to 2F.

Step 4: Use the stairs on your right to go down and head back up using the stairs directly in front of these.

Step 5: Move over the bridge here and follow this path to its end.

Step 6: Walk down the stairs here and use Rock Climb on the plateau to your north.

Step 7: Head across this bridge till you reach the stairs at its end. An unavoidable trainer guards this area.

Step 8: There are a series of ledges here which you can hop down from.

Take a few steps to the south and hop down from the second ledge that comes on your right.

Step 9: Go across the bridge and series of stairs on this path to its end and use the ladder here to go up to 3F.

Step 10: Use Flash to illuminate your surroundings (optional). Then head to the far-right end of the room.

Step 11: Use Rock Smash to break the two rocks blocking the item here. The Metal Coat is inside this PokeBall.
