The earliest way of acquiring a Prism Scale in Pokemon Unbound is by collecting it from Route 17. You can do this as soon as you reach Route 17, but you’ll need HM03 Surf and HM08 Rock Climb to access the area containing the Prism Scale.

Alternatively, you can also obtain Prism Scales indefinitely by exchanging them for 32 Battle Points (BP) at the Battle Frontier’s Exchange Service Counter.

Start at Seaport City’s PokeCenter:

Step 1: Head to the west and exit the city.

Continue in this direction till you reach the stairs in front of the sign on Route 17.

Step 2: From the stairs, move towards the south where you’ll find a trainer patrolling the area.

Step 3: From this trainer, take a few steps towards the west where you’ll be confronted by another trainer patrolling through a patch of grass.

Step 4: Head across the bridge at the end of this path and go up the stairs at the end of this bridge.

Step 5: Now, move towards the west, past the trainer hiding in the bushes. Continue on this path till you reach the stairs at its end.

Step 6: Move down the stairs and head past the trainer running around in the grass here until you arrive at the bridge to the west of this trainer.

Step 7: Use Rock Climb to move down the hill right next to this bridge.

Step 8: Use Surf in the water here and move a few tiles towards the west till you’re blocked off by a bunch of rocks.

Step 9: The Prism Scale is hidden in the leftmost rock in the corner next to the large boulder.
