The Costume Box is a mandatory Key Item you get at the start of the game, shortly after fighting your rival for the first time. While the box initially just lets you change your base costume’s colors, you can eventually change outfits after acquiring them.
Location
Just before leaving Frozen Heights for the first time, the Professor will ask you to visit your mom. Go to your character’s house and approach your Mom.
Mom will heal your Pokemon before giving you the Costume Box.
Function
As the name suggests, the Costume Box lets you change your character’s outfit and colors. However, you must collect individual outfits by completing their specific requirements.
Below is a list of every outfit in Pokemon Unbound and how you can get it:
- Base Outfit: Given at the start of the game
- Marlon’s Costume: Obtained during the main story and becomes permanent after you beat Zeph
- Champion’s Outfit: Obtained after clearing the Pokemon League for the first time
- Red or Leaf’s Outfit: Given to you after you trade with Red at the Magnolia Cafe for the second time. You get Red’s outfit if your character is a boy and Leaf’s if your character is a girl
- Ethan or Lyra’s Outfit: Given as a reward for completing Mission #084: You Are My Only. Ethan’s outfit is given to boy characters while Lyra’s is given to girl characters.
