The Good Rod is a gift from the fisherman NPC in Epidimy Town. It lets you catch a variety of moderate-quality Water-type Pokémon.
Location
Fly to the Epidimy Town Pokémon Center and enter the house in its southwest.
Approach and interact with the fisherman inside the house.
This fisherman will give you the Good Rod for free.
Function
Similar to the Old Rod, the Good Rod lets you catch Water-type Pokemon by facing any body of water and using it from the Cube’s Key Items section.
The quality of Pokemon encounters through the Good Rod is better than the Old Rod, but often it’s a slight step down compared to the Super Rod.
