You just emerged from the KBT Expressway to see Jax thrown into the water by Ivory of the Shadow.
When you head south a little into town, Jax talks to you and is keen to put the whole thing behind him.

He has a job to do on Route 9, but can’t get there because of the barrier.
He asks you to help him out before you head to Thundercap Mountain.
There’s apparently a secret way to get to Route 9 from Tehl Town, and Tehl Town is west of Fallshore City along Route 10.
Exploring the City

For now though, you can explore town and do a few things. Heading down that south street will bring you right in the middle of everything.
Take the opportunity to heal your Pokémon, and do some shopping at the Poke Mart.
Then walk east and you’ll find a couple of houses.

Go inside the house on the left, and you’ll see an old lady who wants to give you something special.

She gives you a Pokémon Egg for free – remember to make sure you have an open Pokémon slot on your team to receive it. It will eventually hatch into a Togepi.

After you’ve gotten the Egg, go next door and speak to the man inside to get TM10 Hidden Power.

Then walk outside and go back west along that road until you pass the Pokémon Center.

There is an entrance to a marketplace to the south, but just above it are two buildings that can be useful to you.
Go inside the west building first – this is Mission HQ.

The man just inside the door is the Ranger in charge of missions in Borrius. If you’ve completed 5 or more missions at this point, he’ll give you a Trainer Catalogue.

This item is quite useful for keeping track of trainers you may have missed, and will come in handy for the additional mission he gives you, which is to defeat all of the trainers in Borrius.
If you manage this feat, you’ll get a Latiosite or a Latiasite depending if your character is male or female.
Completing more missions and handing them in to the Ranger will give you an opportunity to catch Latios and Latias.

Inside the room behind the Ranger is a man who would like to see a particular Flying-type Pokémon – it’s random.
If you show him the one he wants to see four days in a row, he’ll give you 50 Swift Wings.
Then just east of the Ranger, sitting on a bench, is a policeman who wants you to help kick the Terror Granbull gang out of Route 10. You’ll be able to do this mission in due course.

There’s one more mission in this building, and if you go upstairs and talk to the lady there, she’ll give it to you — it’s called Abandonment Issues.

Be warned, this one is quite strange.
You need to go and find her missing daughter, but every time you try and bring her back she gets blown away by the wind. After the first time she blows away you’ll have to go back to her mother empty-handed, and she says she can’t have gone far.
Here’s a complete list of the daughter’s locations and how to find her for this mission:

Third Spot In front of Evolution House |

Fourth Spot Northeast corner of Fallshore City |

After finding the girl for the fifth and final time, her mother will be so grateful she will give you a Power Belt. Then, something strange will happen, but that is best kept as a surprise.

The house to the right of the Mission HQ is the Inverse Battle House, so go there next.
Inverse Battle House

Inverse Battles are special – in these, type matchups are reversed. What would be super effective to a type of Pokémon is now not very effective, and vice versa.
The four trainers inside can be battled as many times as you wish, so it’s great for training.

The Marketplace
Once you’ve had enough of that, you can go south to the Marketplace.

At the Marketplace there is a:
- TM Shop
- Rare Berry shop
- Stat Item shop
- And a Galarian Evolution Item shop
There is also a stall to the southeast that sells Moomoo Milk per bottle or per dozen – it is highly recommended to buy at least a dozen, because it’s a useful healing item and you may need to do a lot of on-the-spot healing in future.

The Fallshore Gym is east of the Marketplace, but when you go there you’ll find the door blocked.
Apparently the Gym Leader is off doing something, so you’ll need to come back later.
The Evolution House

If you keep going east, you’ll eventually hit a building called Evolution House.

The woman in the kitchen downstairs is the Evolution Master, and if you show a Pokémon to her she can tell you if it can evolve, and if so, at what level or what kind of method is needed.
The man near the stairs will give you a Link Stone, which will evolve any Pokémon who in normal Pokémon games only evolved when traded.

Upstairs, showing the girl here a Happiny will get you an Oval Stone.
There’s also a man here who apparently hates Evolution, and he gives you an Everstone if you show him a Pokémon that does not evolve.
Fallshore Beach

There’s only one more place to go in Fallshore Town, and that’s the beach.
The beach extends to the east, where you’ll find an item and a trainer to battle.

Your instructions were to go to Route 10 to the west, but in order to simplify things for the future and to get a bit more training in, it’s best you head east to Route 11 for now.

Route 11 is very linear, and mostly consists of a long wooden bridge. There are a few Pokémon you can catch here, and the trainers are worth battling.

When you walk past Fisherman Chip, you’ll soon see that the pier branches off to a cave entrance to the north.

This is the entrance to Cliff Cave, but it’s not worth going in there yet until we can use HM Strength.
Continue on to the east.

At the end of the route is Epidimy Town, and there’s a few things that you will need to pick up here before continuing on your journey.
