After crossing Route 11, you’ll find yourself in Epidimy Town.
You’ll also come here after helping Jax, but it’s better if you accomplish a few things here first in order to save time.
Exploring for Items

As soon as you enter town, go to the first house you see.
There are two people inside, and they both have something useful for you.

The woman in here would like to trade a Hitmontop for a Lickitung, which can be caught on Route 5 relatively easily.

The other person inside this house is another HM move keeper, and with no prompting at all he gives you HM04 Strength.
However, you can’t use it yet because you haven’t beaten the Fallshore Gym Leader.
Getting it now saves time because it means when you do finally beat him you can use Strength immediately.
Once you leave the house, go north and a woman wandering around will give you 3 Ultra Balls to help with Pokémon catching.

The Poke Mart is on the north side of town, right near an entrance to the KBT Expressway.

Head into the house in between them.

The female trainer in the house gives you the Rocky Helmet, which can be very useful if held by the right Pokémon.

You can’t go very far into the KBT Expressway because the way is blocked by a bunch of Strength boulders. However, there is a Gem Family vendor here for now.

Epidimy Town entrance |

Just east of the north cliff area is a Gentleman on a park bench; sitting down on the bench next to him will give you a random status healing item, such as an Awakening or a Parlyz Heal.
In the northeast part of town is the Pokémon Center, but the house in this area is where the Move Deleter lives.

Very useful NPC to know about if you’d like a Pokémon to forget a particular move.
Head south a little and you’ll see a couple of houses next to each other.

First, go ahead and enter in the one on the left.

There’s a couple of old people living here, and they have one very important item – the Master Ball.
However, they will not give it to you unless you show them the Pokémon Hoopa.
Tip: Hoopa is not available to you until much later, but it is the Pokémon that has been throwing you through portals all this time.
A fisherman lives in the house next to them, and if you’ve got the Old Rod then he gives you the Good Rod!

Now you can catch far more than just Magikarp.
Speaking to the old man wandering nearby will give you a mission to find an empty house for him.

You can’t complete this just now, but you will be able to in due course.

Just south of him is the final house with something interesting inside it – head on in.

The woman in the house gives you 3 Max Repels, and if you come back every day she’ll give you three more.
Very useful for all the travel you’ve been doing.

At the very southeast corner of town is the entrance to Thundercap Mountain and the lair of Zapdos.
Remember this for later, because you will need to come back here after helping Jax.
Leaving Town
Now that you’ve gotten everything useful from Epidimy Town, head back west along Route 11, through Fallshore City and out of the west entrance to Route 10.

When you exit Fallshore City to the west, the rain continues but the season has changed.
There is a large group of Terror Granbull goons to the south, so go ahead and confront them.

Just when it looks like you’ve bitten off more than you can chew, the policeman who gave you the mission steps in and tries to arrest the group of goons.
However, they take the opportunity to run away.
You’ll have to track them down in order to finish the mission.
Once they’re gone, go west along the bridge and you’ll find yourself in Route 10 proper.

Keep going along the path.

Camper Chris is waiting to challenge you; after you beat him you can continue along the path.
You’ll eventually come to a river with some stones in it.

You can jump across the stones to the other side no problem.
Once you’re there, walk north, and you’ll transition into a small part of the neighboring route, Auburn Waterway.

On the very tip of this little peninsula is the first Terror Granbull Goon you have to defeat.
As soon as you do, the policeman shows up to take him away to jail.

When he’s been caught, head south back into Route 10 proper and cross the bridge.

You’ll run into Hiker Dudley along the way.
You’ll be turned around to the west, to cross another bridge.

After defeating the two trainers in this corner of the route, you’ve got two choices: north or south.
South leads to Tehl Town and Route 9 to help Jax.
North, however, leads to the other Terror Granbull Goons you need to capture. So it’s important you head in that direction first.

Walking north will again put you in Auburn Waterway, with a slightly different set of Pokémon to catch.
Follow the tree line until you see a path through them to the west.
Granbull Goon Search

The following area is part of Auburn Waterway and Route 9, but doesn’t actually connect to the major part of either of them. So it is its own little self-contained section.

Follow the only route you can, west and then south, until you see two small trees that need to be cut down.

When you move past them, you’ll be notified that you’re in Route 9.
Keep going west and then north until you see the opportunity to jump off a ledge to the east.

When you do, you’ll see the next Goon you need to capture just to the north.
The policeman will show up just like last time to take him to jail.
After that’s done, jump one ledge to the east and head through the long grass to the north.

Follow the long grass until you see a curvy fork in the road.
Take the left path.

This fork leads straight to the next Goon to defeat, and the policeman will come and collect him as well.
Just one more to find in this area.
Go back south, ignoring the other forks (unless you want a couple of extra items), until you get to the west-east corridor with the ledges you came from.

Jump two ledges to the east until you see a north-south corridor through the trees.
Follow the long grass north and then east and you’ll see the final Goon.

The policeman will show up one last time after you’ve beaten the Goon to tell you to meet him back on Route 10, where you first broke up the gang.
Granbull Boss Battle

When you arrive, the boss of the gang shows up to teach you a lesson.

When you beat Gruff, he’ll make a run for it and head to Seaport City, with the policeman promising to follow him.
Your reward for cleaning up this whole mess is TM106 Smart Strike.

Onwards to Tehl Town
After that mission is completed, you’re free to head back west and take the southern fork to Tehl Town.

There’s a hidden entrance to Route 9 in Tehl Town, and it’s your job to find it.
