Dresco Town is a series of islands connected by bridges, and it is also home to the first Gym you can challenge in Borrius.
You may need to prepare for that, though, so there’s a few things in town you can do to make you stronger.

The first thing is to visit Trainer House, which is the big building you see just as you enter town.
The Trainer House

There are five trainers in Trainer House that can be battled again and again, but it appears one of them has taken up Pokémon Center and greeter duty at the door.
For now, battle four of them at least once, since you’ll need that experience if you want to challenge the Gym.

After you’ve become as strong as you want to, head north to the town square.
Exploring Town

A massive statue of Moltres dominates the central square of Dresco Town, just like the Articuno statue in Bellin Town.

Walk east across a bridge, and you’ll come to a house. There’s a kid inside who will give you a mission to complete.

This mission, Don’t Turn off the Power, should be simple enough – you may do it naturally during the playthrough, especially if you have automatic save prompts on.
Once you’ve saved 100 times, return to the kid and he’ll give you a Bottle Cap, which may come in handy later.

The island north of the plaza has the Pokémon Center and Poke Mart, if you’d like to heal or stock up on any supplies.
After that, head west over the bridge.

You’ll see Dresco Gym, as well as two workers blocking access to an exit. This is where the KBT Expressway starts, but apparently they can’t let us through yet.
You’ll have to wait to go in to the Gym too, if you want the best chance of winning – you’ll need to pick up a Pokémon that may make things easier, so more on that later.
For now, head on south.

Talk to the blonde woman, and she’ll mention that she’d like to see a Pokémon that only evolves if it levels up while having high Friendship with its trainer.
There are two that can be caught on Route 2 – Riolu or Azurill.
If you’ve got one, she’ll give you a Soothe Bell.
Head south to the house with a trainer in a green cap standing in front of it.

This is the house where Professor Log’s friend lives, but this guy won’t let you in yet. He suggests you take on the Gym first, and then gives a hint.
The Gym is Grass-type, and there’s a strange fog inside that can be harmful to our Pokémon and may make it harder to battle. To get rid of it, this mysterious person recommends we get a Pokémon with Defog, and we can see a man named Edmund for one.

Just south of here is another mission giver – this time, you’ll need to head to all 45 Trainer Tips signposts and read them.
You’ll have passed eight so far, so it’s a good time to check if you missed any.

Ducklett Trade
The house north of the one with the strange trainer in front of it is Edmund’s house, and you’ll need to go here next for an important trade.

It turns out that Edmund has a Ducklett with Defog that he is willing to trade for. All he wants in return is an Alolan Form Sandshrew, and if you haven’t done so already, you can catch them in the lair within Icicle Cave.

Finding the Cells

Zygfried and Zygardia are a couple of scientists who are looking for strange glowing green cells scattered all over Borrius. They can only be detected by a special Super Cube component, which they give to you in exchange for you promising to help finding all one hundred cells.
Here are all the locations of the cells you can backtrack into areas you’ve already been in to collect:

You may need more training before facing your first gym – in which case, heading north out of Dresco Town is a very good idea at this point.

When you cross the bridge you’ll be on Route 3.
It’s a straightforward beach route with a few trainers for you to challenge, up and down the beach.

If you have a Pokémon that is Electric-type, you’ll probably do very well against this particular bunch of trainers.

Once you’re finished training on the beach, you’ll see a gap in some trees to the north. This is the entrance to Flower Paradise, and it certainly lives up to its name.

Flower Paradise is a great place to catch Bug-type, Fairy-type or Flying-type Pokémon, so you may want to spend some time here filling out your Pokedex.

There’s a woman in here who offers you a mission – catch three Combee and take the Honey they’re guaranteed to hold.
In exchange, she’ll give you TM62 Silver Wind.
Then up on the hill in the middle of the field is someone who will give you a random Berry every day, so make sure to stop by occasionally if you want to stock up.

After you’ve explored a bit and maybe leveled up a few levels, it’s time to head back to Dresco Town and challenge your first Pokémon Gym!
