When you return to Route 17, the bridge is still broken and out of commission.
Luckily, thanks to the Ring Badge, you can use Rock Climb to get across the gap yourself.

Walk south of the workers until you see a rock wall leading down to the beach. This is the path you’ll need to take going forward.
In this route there’s a Route Master – the Sky Master – so defeating every Trainer here should also be your goal.

There are a couple of Fishermen on this first beach – defeat them and then start surfing to the northeast.

This is a water channel between the mainland and one of the route islands. Follow it north, east, and then south again.

You’ll now be under a bridge between the first and second route islands.
There’s a Rock Climb wall leading off a small beach on the second island that you can ascend.

Jogger Landon is there to greet you at the top – challenge him, then cross the bridge over to the first island.

Two Trainers hang out on this island – Hiker Pistachio and Psychic Jaren. There’s also a Raid Den here, just west of the Psychic.
After you’ve taken care of both of them, go back across the bridge.

Go past Jogger Landon again and start walking north. You’ll see a set of stairs set into the rock cliff.
There’s a Chansey up here, which may be welcome news after fighting all those Trainers.

Once you’ve healed up, head east through the long grass.

If you come by during the daytime, you’ll see someone trapped by a very simple boulder puzzle. He’s a Berry salesman, and if you save him then he’ll give you two random healing Berries. This is repeatable every day.
Once you get your reward, continue east.

On your way past you’ll see someone standing on a cliff that you can’t get to – this is Almuth, the Sky Master. You’ll be able to challenge him soon enough.
For now, beat Pokémon Ranger Madeline and take the stairs that are just past her. They lead to the final bridge of the route.

You’re now on the same island as Seaport City, but there’s still a bit of trekking you need to do to get there.
Bug Catcher Conner is in the long grass, waiting to ambush you.

Take care of him, and then keep going east until you run into Pokémon Breeder Amelia.
Once you’ve defeated her quite sizeable team, go north into a section of long grass.

Following the long grass east will take you to Seaport City, but you’ve still got a couple of trainers to defeat.
Instead, go northwest, descend the stairs to the beach, and take on Fisherman Magnus.

He was the last regular trainer in the route, so now it’s time to challenge Almuth.
Surf southwest, cross under the bridge, and you’ll see a small patch of sand under a cliff.

Once you land on it, the battle with the Sky Master will begin.
Sky Master Challenge

An important thing to note – you’ll have to defeat him in a Sky Battle, which means that any Pokémon that cannot Fly – usually just non-Flying-types – cannot participate.
It’s recommended to bring at least three flying Pokémon in case of accidents.

Your prize is the Pidgeotite mega stone, and with that, Route 17 is complete.
Head back the way you came until you get to the patch of long grass, and go east from there.

At the end of the long grass lies Seaport City – and the only way to get to East Borrius.

Seaport City at last.
The Pokémon Center and Poke Mart are right at the entrance, and in between them is a gate that leads to the Battle Frontier. However, it’s closed, and will remain closed until you become Pokémon Champion.
Start your exploration of the town by walking east.
Various NPC Gifts

The house next to the Poke Mart has some interesting people inside – head on in.

If you’ve got a Pokémon that has a length of 20 centimeters or shorter, show it to the Youngster inside the ground floor apartment and he’ll give you a prize, usually something like a Poke Doll.

Then speak to the lady in the kitchen and she’ll ask to see a Pokémon that looks like a sea cucumber – the only thing that really fits the bill is a Pyukumuku, found by surfing in Dehara City.
After that, she’ll want to see a Probopass. You can catch a Nosepass in Thundercap Mountain and then level it up there – it will evolve into a Probopass.
Your reward is 3 Balm Mushrooms.

The woman in the hallway upstairs says she wants to see a Pumpkaboo, but only a large one. These can be found in Grim Woods.
She’ll give you 5 Dusk Balls as a reward.

The woman inside the upstairs apartment wants to see a Pokémon longer than 7 meters, like a Steelix. You can find them on Route 11. She’ll give you a Fluffy Tail in return.
Also in this apartment, speak to the man nearby who will give you a Bottle Cap.
Once you’re done with this house, return to the intersection with the Pokémon Center and take the road south.

To the left is a Warehouse – ignore that, you’ll go there later – and to the east is a row of houses.
There’s a man banging on the door of the left one, begging to be let back in. That’s the Camomons Battle House, and you also can’t get in because he’s blocking the door.
The Breeder’s School

The house to the east of here is the Breeder’s School – go on in.

You’ll find yourself in a classroom where Breeders are getting a lecture. Speak to the man in the back row and he’ll want to see a Pichu.
To get one you’ll need to breed a Pikachu. These are found in Vivill Woods in a swarm, which is rare.
If you manage to pull this off, he’ll give you a special Spiky-Eared Pichu in return. This particular Pichu will also be useful in the endgame.

If you have a female Pokémon that knows the move Attract, show it to the Breeder on the right side of the top row and they’ll give you a Destiny Knot.

The room on the right is a mini-Pokémon Day Care – the breeder in the north of the room is able to take care of one Pokémon for you.

Talk to the Breeder in the southeast corner and he’ll give you a Baby Monitor if you have hatched 10 Eggs.
Then if you hatch 50 Eggs, he’ll give you a Ditto, as well as Metal Powder.

He’s not done yet though – if you then go on to hatch 100 Eggs, he’ll give you a Magma Stone, which not only halves Egg hatching time (and quarters it if you’ve got a Pokémon with Flame Body or Magma Armor), but is essential to summoning a Legendary Pokémon in the endgame.
Visiting Other Houses

The southwest house is the Battleground, but it’s not open until the post-game.

The southeast house is more interesting at the moment, so head on inside.

The Fisherman in here is a member of a club called the Hip Waders, and he invites you to join.
Every day, if you show him a Pokémon he asks you to catch, he’ll give you a prize – usually something like 5 Dive Balls.
The Docks

Heading east down the stairs next to that house will get you to the docks that give Seaport City its name.
There’s another warehouse here, but don’t go in it just yet.
For now, walk to the end of the southern pier.

Speaking to the Fisherman here will give you the Super Rod, and you’ll finally be able to catch every fishable Pokémon.
The building near him is the ferry station, but you’ll be heading there a bit later.

In the northwest corner of the dock area is Seaport’s entrance to the KBT Expressway.

There’s a couple of Gem Family members in this section of the tunnel.

If you’re done with exploring the Expressway, head back out.

There’s also a large building just to the east of the Expressway entrance – this is the Seaport.

The Advanced Digging and Diving Machine can be obtained here, but not just yet (only in the post-game). You’ll need a hefty reputation before Captain Davy will even consider selling it to you for a high price.
Head west from the Shipyard, up the stairs and you’ll see the Seaport Marketplace.
Seaport Marketplace

There’s a Berry stall, a Ball stall, and a TM stall here – but speak to the girl in the middle and she’ll give you TM114 Natural Gift.
She’ll also tell you more information about rare Berries if you show them to her.

There’s one house you haven’t been in yet, and that’s north of the Marketplace. Head on inside, but make sure you have one space in your team free.

The woman with an umbrella on her head is from Alola, and she’ll give you one of the Alolan Starter Pokémon for free. She’ll give you the others when you get 7 and 8 Badges respectively.

Finding the Skitty

The man on the couch in the hallway of this building is the landlord, and he’s the one to talk to regarding the old man in Epidimy Town that needs somewhere to live.
However, first you’ll need to do something for him, and it turns out to be more complicated than it seems.
A couple of thugs have taken the landlord’s prized Skitty, and you’ll need to track them down.

You can find Swizer and Bullo near the steps that lead to the beach on the southwest side of town.
They’ll give you a Double Battle, and when you beat them they’ll run off.

The landlord is grateful, but you’ll need to walk him back home for your reward.

However, when you get there, he mysteriously disappears.
Swizer shows up to gloat and says that if you want to get him back, you’ll need to go to the western Seaport warehouse – the one just near the beach entrance – to take on him and his gang.
So our next stop in this walkthrough is to visit the Seaport Warehouse.

There’s weird restrictions though – you need to bring only Ice and Fairy-type Pokémon (double types are fine, so long as at least one of them is Ice or Fairy).
Prepare your team – this may be difficult if you haven’t trained that typing.
