Quick Guide:
- Challenge the Camomons Battle House
- Explore Route 18 and defeat the Route Master
- Approach Victory Road
Camomons Battle House (Optional)

You have all eight Badges and are eligible to participate in the Pokémon League – but if you feel your Pokémon team needs a little bit more training, the Camomons Battle House in Seaport City is now open to you.

However, all battles follow the ‘Camomons’ ruleset.
It’s the same ruleset that applied in the Polder Gym: you and your opponent’s Pokémon change their types to the types of the first two moves they know.

First things first:
There’s a Route Master on Route 18, so it’s worth it to find and defeat all the trainers here.

Swimmer Elsie is guarding the first stretch of water, between the shore and the first rocky island you’ll encounter.

Once you’re past the rock, you’ll see Swimmer Darrin, as well as a bit of an opening in the barrier to the north. Surf into it and head west first.

There’s a lone trainer on a sand island – this is Psychic Preston.
When you defeat him, surf east to the other side of this little pocket.

You’ll find a Black Belt, and the Marine Vivillon is also here; you can defeat it for the mission (or catch it if you can).
Then head back through the opening into the main route channel and continue east.

Yet another swimmer is here to block your path – get rid of him and keep on surfing to the east through this long ocean passage.

Eventually you’ll come to another rock, with Swimmer Faye lurking near it. Defeat her and continue on.

There’s another island to the southeast of Faye that has the Route Master on it – you won’t be able to challenge her until all other trainers on Route 18 are defeated. Make a note of her location though.
Surf through the gap just east of her and you’ll see another sand island.

Challenge and defeat Fisherman Darian here, and you can move on back to the main passage.

You’ll need to surf across a long stretch of empty water here, but at the end of it is your ultimate destination.

Swimmer Aimee is at the foot of a giant waterfall that serves as the gate to the Pokémon League.
But before you climb it, go east and you’ll see one last sand island.

There are two trainers here – Fisherman Stan, out in the open, and Ninja Boy Hayden, who is hiding in a sand mound.
Once you’ve taken care of both of them, it’s time to climb that waterfall.

The Victory Road Pokecenter
You’re not quite at Victory Road yet – just a little way further.
Jump onto land and head north.

There’s a Pokémon Center here that acts as a fast travel point – and it’s probably a valuable sight after beating all those trainers.
Tip: Speaking to the man outside the Pokecenter gets you 10 Max Repels, in case you’re sick of wild Pokémon.

The cameraman inside the Pokémon Center gives probably one of, if not the most, challenging missions of the game.
Not only do you have to beat the Elite Four with a team made up of just one type of Pokémon, you’ll have to do it eighteen times for each type.
This is something best left until way way later into the endgame, if done at all. But if you manage to do it you will receive a lot of goodies, which include:
- 1,000BP for the Battle Frontier
- 18 Big Nuggets
- And a HeartGold/SoulSilver costume for the Costume Box
Head back outside the Pokémon Center and go north.

If you talk to the Rancher behind a raised hill just north of the Center, and answer ‘no’ to her question, she’ll give you P1000. This can be repeated every day.

Victory Road proper starts at the checkpoint west of the Pokémon Center, where there’s a policeman ready to check your Badges.
Once you show him you have all eight, he moves aside and you can begin the ascent.

Keep going north, and you’ll pass by an Ace Trainer Shannon and have to climb some stairs.

The final trainer on the route is Ace Trainer Colby, near the Trainer Tips sign.
But with all of the challengers on Route 18 defeated, it’s time to go back to the rock and defeat the Route Master.
Route Master Battle

Reena is the Route Master here, and she has a few tough Pokémon on her team.

Victory Road Approach

Go back to Victory Road and you’ll see a familiar old man waiting for you at the entrance to the cave system.

Professor Log wishes you luck and hands over some handy items:
- 2 Blue Shards
- 2 Red Shards
- 2 Yellow Shards
- 2 Green Shards
You can use these to trade with move trainers all across Borrius.

The main part of Victory Road is through the cave, and the Pokémon League lies at the other end of it.
